Responsibilities
- Supports the analysis of GAIN monitoring, evaluation and documentation data to distil and present critical findings to country manager and other stakeholders.
- Supports the development of monitoring and evaluation plans of GAIN’s programs.
- Supports the monitoring of GAINs programs and the process for collating and analyzing monitoring data.
- Involved in nutrition program design of the different initiatives.
- Involved in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Kenya.
- Conducts reviews of literature and prepares technical papers, and executes analysis as required.
- Support the planning and execution of technical and capacity building of staff and partners.
- Provides back up support to program team and the country manager when necessary.
Experience
- Experience in operations research, program management and evaluation.
- Development and operationalization of Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks and plans in the country.
- Experience in a multi-cultural environment and managing local issues within the country.

- Excellent skills in documentation and quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and project management skills, with a high degree of rigor.
- Ability to use initiative, prioritize, multi-task, Self-motivated, high energy and solution-oriented.

- Fluency in English.
Education
- Degree in nutrition, public health, food science or a suitable equivalent with significant experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.
Other requirements
- Be willing to travel to visit programs and provide technical assistance
