An International organization is currently seeking technical
and administrative staff for an agricultural value chain project in Tanzania.
The project's primary objective is to increase rice and maize productivity and
competitiveness. To this end, technical components will focus on improved
farming techniques and best practices, improved farm management, strengthened
market linkages and competitiveness, trade facilitation and regulatory reform,
value chain development for vulnerable groups, and other activities that
promote increased food security.
Technical and Administrative Positions
Available:
We are currently seeking applicants for the following long
term positions. All positions will be based in Morogoro, with frequent
travel to project sites.
Gender Field Coordinator
Coordinates field level gender and youth empowerment related
activities. Collaborates with field extension staff to ensure that all field
activities are implemented in a gender-sensitive manner. Monitor gender
dynamics at households, groups and community levels in target communities to
identify issues, bottlenecks and opportunities that need immediate attention.
Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 3 years of community
development work experience required. Please include a 2·4 page writing

Senior Accountant
Responsible for project financial management and reporting
of the Morogoro and field offices, including development and analysis of
budgets, financial reports, and management of project advances and
expenditures. Supervises junior accountants and financial management field
staff. Seven years' experience in accounting on complex development projects
and extensive experience with US government regulations and management systems
required. CPA (T)/ACCA preferred.
Director of Finance & Administration
Responsible for overall direction of project operations and
financial management. Carries out the management of project funds, ensuring strict
compliance with donor rules and regulations, the terms of the contract,
Tanzanian law, and implementing NGO's policies and procedures. Oversees and
leads all administrative operations, including management of procurements, IT,
facilities, assets, and field offices. Advanced degree in Management, Finance,
Accounting, Business or other relevant field required. Ten years' experience
managing complex project operations and finances required.
