Job Purpose
- To
provide support to the program on matters related to driving project
vehicle, service/repair and logistics
Reports to: Administrative Officer
Responsibilities:
- Manage
the program vehicle in accordance to the organizational policy and
guidelines
- Oversee
the store of consumables, use and functioning of office equipments.
- Review
travel plans which will require the use of project vehicle.
Main Tasks
- Ensures
that the program vehicle is driven carefully and is always in good mechanical
condition.
- Ensures
vehicle cleanliness
- Ensures
proper vehicle maintenance schedule and adherence to it.
- Assist
in arranging for accommodation, transport for partners, staff, volunteers
and visitors for the program.
- Provide
support in administration of the office as may be required.
- Receive
and attend to visitors coming to the office as may be required
- Maintain
log book and other relevant records of the vehicle.
- Delivery
and collection of office mails, parcels etc.
- Undertakes
minor mechanical and repair work for the vehicle.
- All
logistic tasks for the antenna programmes
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent
driving skills
- Basic
vehicle repair
General Skills
- Good
written and communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Gender
sensitive
- Integrity
- Minimum
Form Four education with clean class C driving license.
- Certificate
in vehicle mechanics added advantage.
- Minimum
5 years experience driving for NGOs, diplomatic offices or international
organizations.
- Track
record of professional integrity and competence
