We are seeking Business Linkages and Investment Specialist
candidates for an anticipated multiyear, USAID-funded agribusiness project
called Integrated Agribusiness Sector in Egypt (IASE). IASE will address agriculture
challenges in Egypt and is expected to: a) strengthen agriculture markets and
trade; b) improve agricultural practices and value-added processing; and c)
improve agriculture inputs and sector services.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate private sector engagement and investment among various levels of agriculture value chains, including but not limited to producer, processor, wholesaler and exporter levels.
- Develop strategic, commercially viable partnerships between private sector actors, investors and financers in Egypt and abroad.
- Manage investment pipelines and identify opportunities for agricultural finance and investment.
- Design and implement technical assistance interventions to provide agribusinesses with both pre- and post-investment support.
Qualifications:
- M.B.A. or other post-graduate degree in trade, finance, marketing or other relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience, preferably in the areas of private sector development, venture/equity financing and investment facilitation
- Knowledge of Egyptian private sector landscape highly preferred
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Fluency in English required, fluency in Arabic highly preferred
