Job Summary
Cardno Emerging Markets (UK) Ltd have been shortlisted for
the upcoming DFID funded project "Water for Eastern Sudan - Urban
Component". The project aims to provide a comprehensive programme
design for the rehabilitation and expansion of water and sanitation systems in
Port Sudan. The project is scheduled to commence in January 2014 for a
duration of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
The Consultant will coordinate with the economist and
financial analyst international and be responsible for proposing a
suitable institutional structure to operate and manage the water utility. The
consultant will exploring the possibility of an independent autonomous
(private) utility or outsourcing components of operation and maintenance.
The consultant will also possess the following skills:
- A degree in project and institutional management, institutional and financial management or related fields
- At least 8 years of experience in water supply utility management.
- Broad experience of water utility of institutional structure.
- Experience in non-revenue reduction (leakage control) would be useful.
