Overall objective of the position and
responsibilities: Under the line management of the field coordinator,
the main purpose of this position will be to coordinate the different nutrition
programs currently being run in Hiloweyn camp, with a specific emphasis on
integrating the various components to ensure that the overall program
objectives are being met. The secondary goal is to strengthen the
capacity of the national nutrition Program Managers, resulting in greater
autonomy, independence, and improved program results. In particular,
attention will be given to reinforcing skills in the areas of program strategy,
data analysis, staff management, and report quality.
More specifically, you will be expected to:
Coordinate and integrate the technical aspects of
nutrition programs
- Follow-up of the implementation of the programs to ensure achievement of the specific objectives of the program and reaching National, International and ACF standards
- Follow-up and management of the budget in collaboration with the field and capital coordination team
- Provision of technical support in the implementation of existing nutrition programs
- Provide the connection between nutrition and psychosocial/care practices programs
Analyse program data and context in order to develop ACF
nutrition strategy and drive programmatic decisions
- Collect, correct and submit required data bases to the government, capital and HQ
- Develop, formulate, compile and validate the nutrition-related part of proposals and donor reports
- Synthetize internal and external data to guide program strategy
Establish training and skills development for the ACF
team
- Involve and consult the national PMs in evaluating the skills and technical level of their respective teams to determine training needs
- Train the national PMs to independently monitorthe technical level and training needs of teams
- Propose sequences of tailor-made training sessions, identify resources and material and work out the practical, logistical and cultural issues
Supervise and accompany the national PMs in the
development and management of his/her activities
- Guide the national PM in the development of a local middle and long-term strategy of malnutrition care adapted to local needs and aligned with government strategy
- Strengthen relationships and contact with local partners
Representation
- Represent ACF in external technical/ coordination meetings, nutrition task forces or forums regularly
- Strengthen the network in place at the local level
Qualification and previous experience: You
hold a post-graduate degree in public health and/or nutrition, with extensive
professional experience in the field of outpatient therapeutic programming,
community mobilization and school feeding programming. Previous experiences in
refugee’s camps are preferable, while previous assignments in security tense
area are required. Experience in designing and leading nutrition surveys
required. Successful applicants will demonstrate proven abilities in the field
of training and coaching. Fluent English required.
Status: Employee
- Total average yearly gross income : from 44910€ to 51410€
- Fixed-term contract, provided by ACF according to the French legislation.
- All expenses paid on the field:
- Support to the R & R costs : 110€/month average
- Transportation costs to and from the mission : 460€/ month average,
- Collective or individual accommodation depending on position : 700€/month average
- Food and hygiene expenses (living allowance) : 276€
- Per Diem : 143€
- Gross monthly salary ranging from €1805 to €2305 (13rd month included), depending on relevant experience
- Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution
- 25 days of annual paid leaves
- 20 days of extra leaves per year (taken as recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission)
