Job Description
IBTCI is seeking a Health Specialist for an upcoming Health
Assessment for USAID in Somalia. The assessment will provide key information to
USAID to assist in the design of potential future health initiatives in
Somalia.
The Health Specialist will lead the design and implementation of the assessment, which will focus on a wide range of health topics.
The Health Specialist must have:

The Health Specialist must have:
- At least ten (10) years of professional experience working in international health programming; experience conducting similar health assessments in health will be an added advantage;
- At least ten (10) years of experience working with USAID and/or USAID-funded initiatives;
- A graduate degree in international public health or related field;
- Broad experience in a variety of health technical areas is desirable;
- Excellent writing and communication skills;
- Excellent spoken and written English skills;
- Experience working and living in East Africa is very desirable
- A working knowledge of health issues affecting Somali, Eastern and/or sub-Saharan African populations and understanding of the impediments to health within the African context.
