Position Summary
Futures Group is looking for a Social Marketing Specialist on a proposal for upcoming USAID-funded social marketing project in Mali. The goal of the project is to promote key healthy behaviors and increase demand for and use of High Impact Health Services (HIHS) and commodities by men, women and children in Mali.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage the social marketing component of the project, increasing access to and use of health commodities and select health services.
• Liaise with local government officials, project partners and beneficiaries to ensure achievement of project goals related to social marketing and behavior change communications.
• Create and train local Malian social marketing entity to promote and expands access to high impact health services and products
• Increase the availability of social marketing high impact health products and expanded non-public services in targeted geographic areas.
• Promote effective social marketing of USAID-supported products and non-public services for FP, ANC, MCH, HIV, WASH, nutrition in USAID target geographic areas.

Qualifications
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, entrepreneurship, project management, international development, public relations, etc.
• Minimum seven years of progressively responsible experience in implementing social marketing activities in developing countries, preferably in francophone West Africa.
• Minimum three years of experience as country director for social marketing programs that promote and sell a wide range of products for RH/FP, HIV/AIDS prevention, child survival, nutrition, water and sanitation. Experience with social marketing franchised services, and expansion of primary health services through partnerships with private sector partners.
• Proficiency in English and French at minimum USG FSI-III level or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, mentoring and capacity-building skills.
