Description
Futures Group Global Outreach is an international
organization that provides management, marketing, research, and strategic
planning for large multi-national companies, governments and universities.
Founded in 1971, Futures Group specializes in public health and social issues,
working with more than 60 developing countries. We help build local capacity
and solve critical development issues such as family planning, reproductive
health, HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections, safe motherhood, poverty alleviation,
education, and the environment. We are looking to hire a Finance &
Administration Consultant for our Zambia program.
Job Description
- Maintain
financial and accounting systems and procedures in accordance with Futures
Group corporate requirements and USAID/CDC regulations
- Remit
ZRA and NAPSA payments at the Zambian Revenue Authority on a monthly basis
- Carry
out banking duties as required
- Assist
in reviewing and processing travel vouchers, expense reports and small
invoices
- Manage
the Futures Group appointments; Make arrangement for Futures Group
meetings and trainings including reserving venues and
preparing/distributing agendas,
- Take
and distribute meeting minutes; participate actively in the meetings and
flag issues of concern;
- File
travel vouchers, expense reports, and financial reports
- Take
responsible for receiving, documenting and managing all stock and
commodities of the project, (this includes assisting in forecasting
and requisitions to guarantee optimal stock levels at all times
- Assist
in processing workshop participants’ payments
- Assist
in preparing paperwork for submission to HQ
- Backstop
and provide general program operations assistance to the Finance and
Administration Officer, shared services team, technical staff and field
administrators.
- Performing
any other responsibilities as may be directed
Skills Required
- Microsoft
office proficiency including the ability to operate computerized
accounting, spreadsheet and word-processing programs at a highly
proficient level

Experience/Education
- A
degree in Finance/Accounting and/or CPA II or equivalent
- At
least 3 years’ experience in Finance/Accounts
