Position Summary:
The Chief of Party (COP) will manage and supervise all project activities, staff, and partners and have overall responsibility for the successful performance of the project. He/she will provide technical and administrative leadership for the entire program, ensuring that all objectives are achieved. In addition, the COP will serve in a technical advisory capacity to lead particular components of the program.

- Provide
technical and administrative leadership for the entire project, ensuring
that all objectives are achieved.
- Provide
senior technical assistance to the Government of Ghana’s (GOG)
anti-corruption, accountability agencies and civil society groups to
strengthen their institutional capabilities and facilitate coordination
with other GOG and nongovernmental organizations.
- Oversee
internal management of the project including the budget and performance
monitoring and evaluation.
- Provide
technical assistance to project counterparts and grantees in areas of
expertise and oversee grants management.
- Serve
as principal liaison with USAID, counterparts and other donors. Report to
MSI/US on major technical, managerial and financial issues related to the
project.
Qualifications:
- Experience
promoting anti-corruption and transparency reforms in collaboration with
civil society, private sector and government institutions, preferably in
Africa, and should be skilled in suggesting appropriate anti-corruption
models from other countries. Experience in Ghana is strongly desired.
- The
COP should also have prior experience as a Chief of Party managing complex
assistance projects. At least five years of experience in a senior
level project management/leadership position required. Experience managing
USAID-funded projects is required.
- Graduate
level degree in law, public administration, political science or similar
field preferred.
- Strong
communication skills and an appreciation for cultural sensitivity
required.
- Willingness
and ability to travel within Ghana.
- Fluency
in English.
