opportunity for a HR professional to contribute their expertise to eradicating
poverty and fighting social injustice.
We are seeking to recruit a HR professional to join a small
HR operational team to offer technical support to a number of country
programmes in Africa.
Reporting to the Regional HR Manager for Africa, you will
work within a global HR team to provide prompt, professional and sound guidance
to country offices, ensuring adherence to Christian Aid policies, compliance to
labour law and best practice. You will consistently and proactively deliver a high
quality HR service and contribute to the successful achievement of our
overarching strategy, Partnership For Change.
In this role, you will provide support to managers and
country HR staff on all HR related operations including, but not exclusive to,
recruitment and selection, induction, employee relations, reward management,
performance management, exit management and ensuring effective management of
employee data. You will also contribute to the improvement of HR processes to
continually improve the HR team’s efficient service.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be
confident, approachable and adaptable. You will need to demonstrate an
appreciation of organizational corporate objectives and be adaptable to
organizational culture. You will also possess demonstrable experience of
providing excellent customer service on a timely basis to meet business needs
and openness to learning in particular in relation to the diversified labour
contexts in Africa.
You are qualified to degree level with a qualification in a
HR-related discipline or the equivalent HR experience coupled with a sound
knowledge of Employment Law as well as HR best practice.
