Position Summary
The Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the project. This will include responding to immediate needs for both national and international short-term technical expertise. The Human Resources Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and execute recruiting plans (create job descriptions; lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position; efficiently and effectively fill open positions; conduct regular follow-up to determine effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation);
• Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees (develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need; research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting; build networks to find qualified passive candidates);
• Administrative duties and recordkeeping (post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues; utilize the internet for recruitment; assist with other duties as required).
Qualifications:
The HR Recruiter will have at a minimum the following qualifications:
• degree in Human Resources, Communications, or similar education
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced team oriented environment
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and exhibit a positive and professional attitude
• Organized with the ability to prioritize
• Strong attention to detail
• 1 to 2 years of HR experience preferred but not required
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili is a plus
